The answer to the question is absolutely not. The reality is that Grand Theft Auto is not geared toward the Wii demographic which does not, and never has accepted mature themed games. Even games that Mimic Grand Theft Autos play style are deadpanned by the Wii owner. Further more as has been noted before there is no name recognition on the Wii beyond Nintendo. A typical Wii owner has already decided to forgo third party name brands if they only own a Wii.

Do yourselves a favor, and check the sales. Scarface, Godfather, No More Heroes, Manhunt 2, and a number of other titles have proven the rule. Mature just doesn't sell on the Wii. Those who own the console do not want these types of games. Even standard console fodder such as Madden fails in the Wii kiddie pool. Yes it is somewhat alarming that the PS3 with less then half the install base in North America of the Wii can manage to still move many more copies of Madden.

I think the title would struggle mightily to sell a million on the Wii, and to actually sell two million would be damn near miraculous. Beyond that I think some posters are in denial about exactly whom they are playing their console with. You are not playing with other gamers that prefer or even like mature gaming. You really are playing with very casual players.

The games you mentionned all suck compared to GTA except No More Heroes which is a really small title from a small developer. The Wii isn't a kiddie pool. The majority of owners are males from 18 to 45. How is Madden numbers have anything to do with GTA?

GTA would sell good on the Wii if the game was well done (not a crappy port).
