The Wii U has third party games as well (skylanders, Disney Infinity, Just Dance, Legend of Kay, Lego games).

3ds games are cheap to make in comparison to big aaa games. High Budget Games like Assassins Creed, GTA, Witcher, Final Fantasy and co wont be profitable on any nintendo console at the moment.
