That's pretty damn impressive, I had no idea this movie was that highly anticipated, even in the face of all the negative reviews.

Also, I find it hard to believe that this movie needs 750m-800m just to break even.  You'd think its break even point would be in the $500m range, with an estimated $175m budget.  You're telling me that the studio spent over half a billion marketing this thing??

That's Friday plus the $20m+ it got on it's Thursday previews. Opening day numbers ALWAYS include preview numbers(if the film had an early screening the day before).
