More like a "Reversed" Wii U.
The Wii U would house all it's processing in the stationary home device.
The Wii U would stream the game to the handheld.
The NX would house all it's processing in the mobile device.
The NX would stream the game to the stationary home device and display it on the TV. (Hopefully wirelessly and/or physically to recharge.)
It's still going to be able to display the game on the TV or the Handheld. It just won't have the same "range" limitations as the Wii U as it should truly be portable, whether that is going to be something people care about... Remains to be seen.
It will also have graphics capabilities less than that of the Xbox One which has copped so much ridicule for being under powered.

Maybe, it depends on where the spec actually sits here. "Between PS3 and PS4" is a fairly large variance, lets hope it's at least in between the two. I have to think at least in home/docked mode that it can run at 600+ GFLOPS at least, otherwise I don't think games like the new Sonic (also for PS4/XB1) and Dragon Quest XI could run on it at an acceptable HDTV resolution. I hope third parties start announcing more games, because if there's more PS4/XB1 ports well then it must be able to handle ports from those systems even if they're likely not 100% on par. |
What kind of Gflop?
