Zelda is pretty much a given, I'd bet that game has been sitting almost finished for a while, Nintendo purposely has refused to release it because they didn't want to waste it on Wii U alone. Mario ... like I said the EAD Tokyo team that made Mario 3D World is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overdue for a new game even by Nintendo's standards. By June 2017, it will have been 3 1/2 years since Super Mario 3D World. So, to be honest, Mario + Zelda in the first six months at least are not really surprising at all. This is EAD Tokyo's release schedule Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat - spring 2005 Super Mario Galaxy - November 2007 Super Mario Galaxy 2 - May 2010 (according to EAD Tokyo this game could've been released earlier, but Nintendo had NSMB Wii for fall 2009) Super Mario 3D Land - November 2011 Super Mario 3D World - November 2013 Captain Toad - November 2014 (note: this game was made by a small offshoot of the main EAD Tokyo team) Nothing - 2015 Nothing - 2016 Super Mario NX (?) - Summer 2017 (?) |
Given that we don't know when Nintendo choosed the final specs of NX and that we don't know when Nintendo picked the idea for the next Mario game, that timeline of yours is useless.
And there's also the question of which kind of Mario game, it could be a 2D platformer again (unlikely after Mario Maker, but never say never).

I did notice that, but it doesn't say much. Wii U is between PS3 and PS4, and so is Tegra X1.
What this confirms, if true, is that multiplats won't be easy.
Please excuse my bad English.
