So essentially we have a Wii U 2, but with all the processing contained in the gamepad and just a docking station (Wi Fi dongle?) connected to a TV/Monitor. If it has a docking station, then you lack the dual screen functionality of Wii U, so a Wifi dongle as the connection to the TV would be better. Though if you have a docking station, then you can add some processing power into the docking station to provide for improved performance for TV/monitor play.

We are a house that has traditionally had one home console and at least one handheld (my sons have owned PSP and DS/3DS). If the price is right NX is certainly on the cards to fit our handheld niche, which is certainly something that Wii or Wii U were never in a position to do. Hence if NX is effectively a handheld that doubles as a home console it has a decent chance of finding its way into our house where Wii and Wii U had no chance.

So possible +1 here.
