Don't normally have legs. If preorder supply is lower then demand however it will have "forced" legs. As for the selling back games after you are finished. If that's the case i may be wrong. I've never heard anything like that however. Guess that would explain why RPG Re-release do so well over there. |
take a look at the sales of the FF6 remake on DS in Japan, it has a huge first week but it was severely supply constrained. New games were nowhere to be found, used sales ate up nearly all the sales for second week, then when it came back in stock the sales didn't really rise to pick up the extra demand because used copies had exhausted the excess demand.
If you weren't aware that Japan sells games you should know that it is extremely common to buy games on day 1 and sell them as soon as you are finished, they don't have game rental places in Japan so this is kind of like a "rental." They even do the same thing with systems, they buy the system and a few games and sell it back when they finish.
Many people were reporting used copies of Crisis Core to be found in many places the SAME DAY it was released.
currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X
