I want to assume, but in case, I was being a bit sarcastic.
I too like X/Y for what it is. I was kinda going through the motions for playing most of Gen 5, though I think Black was great (havent tried Black 2 yet). But X/Y was when I really felt energized and optimistic about playing Pokemon again. Omega Ruby is pretty good so far (but I haven't played in a while) and I like how the Hoenn region was remade. Personally, I have enjoyed all the games from each gen that I've played, including what some would say is underappreciated, D/P.
Though my understanding of the Pokemon community is kinda lackluster since I have no idea of the opinions of the majority in terms of each gen besides 1 and 2.
I personally don't have much say on things like the competitive scene (though I do feel like the Psychic types from gen 1 were too good).
