Who is most identifiable Mario or Mickey?

Mickey isn't retired. There are still new Mickey Mouse comics around the world every week, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is alive and kicking and Mickey and the Roadster Racers is scheduled for 2017. Sure, Mickey Mouse is marketed heavily at Toddlers and pre-school kids nowadays, but he's far from dead.

I guess you only know about that stuff if you have a child though. =P
