just an FYI it would be roughly impossible for Apple to buyout Nintendo even if they wanted to- Japan has extremely strict conditions for their home company's being acquired, it is extremely rare for an outside company (Apple being American) to be allowed to take over a company of Nintendo's size, legislation and laws just almost completely prevent it
beyond that, generally a company can only easily be taken over if A) the company is doing well or B) those in control of the company want that. I believe that the founders of Nintendo still have a big stake in the company and they certainly aren't doing poorly enough for it to be a pressing subject in board meetings, there is massive potential for Nintendo's IPs in the future
again, generally a buyout is something investors and board members look to consider when the potential and upside for a company is looking limited. Nintendo is the opposite of that. and in terms of a hostile takeover- it would neverrrrrrrr get through the Japanese government, I can't recall one time a large Japanese company was bought out from outside
