But Mario and Nintnedo's other IP's are so famous worldwide, even more than Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck. That would be a great addition to Disney's current line up of characters. 

I agree about the hardware though, doubt Disney is interested in that part of Nintendo. 

While Mario sure seems ubiquitous, Mickey Mouse is iconic in markets that Nintendo doesn't even bother to attempt to enter...

And given that Disney has pretty much given up entirely on the console market (they're even abandoning Disney Infinity), it seems less likely than ever that they would consider Nintendo a worthwhile investment...
