Nope, you'd need to spend $400 to match a PS4. And PC exclusives are almost invariably designed with a keyboard/mouse in mind, so the only games you'll be playing with a controller are the ones you can play on console (unless you like badly optimized controls that have been adapted from KB/M via a third party program).

There are 187 games confirmed for PS4 that are unavailable on PC. That 187 things that PC can't do.

And you're arguing against similar platforms, and also saying he should have a PC and XB1? Sorry, but your bias is showing. If you own a PC, there is literally no reason to also own an XB1 anymore, or have you not been paying attention for the past two months? And I mean paying attention to facts, not just things that you find agreeable.

All that aside, I'm sure if he wanted a PC, he'd have one by now. He clearly wants a console, and he's clearly unimpressed by XB1 enough to want to try PS4.

Really? How do you gather that? Your suggesting a PS4 because it has more games confirmed than X1, if that’s the reason than I suggest PC because there are a lot more games than PS4 and a whole back catalogue and unlimited amount of apps to choose from. I bet most of them are VR and indie titles as well, something PC also has a lot of. Also 90% of games use controllers, only the RTS and MMOs are exclusive to Mouse and Keyboard since you can’t actually play them on a controller. Your knowledge on PC gaming doesn’t sound good at all.

I suggested to stay with X1 since there’s hardly any difference between the two consoles. Your only suggestion is PS4 because of the amount of games confirmed... haha you don’t think Games are being made for PC and X1 as well? I don’t recommend owning both X1 and PC. If you have a PC than you don’t need either console since most of PS4 games comes to PC as well, example, SF5 and No Man Sky etc.

 Back to the OP.

To avoid the hassle and you like using ESPN, just hold onto what you have because switching is not going to make a huge difference plus there are newer consoles around the corner which will most likely drop the current price even more on the older hardware so I suggest wait. The X1 is a great system with some great games coming out like ReCore, Sea Of Thieves, Gears 4 and Horizon 3 just to scrap the surface. Also X1 has a growing back catalogue of 360 games which means you wont need your 360 anymore and can still play your old games without paying for them again like the PS4.

Again, he's clearly not looking for a PC, so feel free to continue arguing yourself into a cycle of dense comments. And that 90% of games is either on PS4 or has an upcoming release date for it... Or it just too garbage to make it. Then there's the observable fact that there are more games on PS4 than XB1. I swear to god, you're the most aggravatingly biased user on this site, so much that nearly every post you make is teetering on the verge of reportable for bait. You constantly ignore facts and hard numbers in favor for your fantasy land facts that revolve around the XB1 being better "because", and there's no reason to own a PS4 when objective numbers day otherwise. More games, higher average rating for exclusives on metacritic, plays third party games at better settings, but no- Xbox One is better and he should stick with it. In fact, he should even get a PC to go with it, despite owning one negating the bonuses of owning the other.

To the OP: Feel free to ignore this guy. All he does is shit all over Sony all day on the forums, so he's never going to admit a switch would be better as far as gaming is concerned, even if he knows it in the very pit of his soul. If you feel Vue isn't enough, just grab a 2016 Roku stick; they're fantastic, and it'll have everything you're looking for. Bonus, if your fiance watches things on the Roku stick, you can grab a Vita and Remote Play you're PS4. Import the Hori R2/L2 grip for the Vita ($30 on playasia.com) and you may end up spending most of your time Remote Playing anyway.

FYI, Remote Play can also be run from PSTV (a Vita that runs on the TV, can easily find it for $40) in a different room of the house. Not only that, but there is also a Remote Play app for Windows and Mac OS. You could also grab a hacked Remote Play APK for your phone (or a legit APK if you have A Sony phone), meaning your Remote Play options can be immediate and free if you have an android phone. This could easily bump the amount of time you have for gaming if the main deterrent is her TV habits.
