| Soonerman said: This is an excellent assessment haha. I have 14 games right now (not including all the monthly free downloads on Live). Of the 14 games, I finished Dead Rising 3, Ryse, and Defense Grid 3 (I bought my Xbox Day One Edition on release day). I'm playing the Master Chief Collection now cuz I never got to play the originals, I'm barely in the beginning of Halo 2. I have some RPGs in my lineup. No sports games and 3 family games cuz the fiancee is not a gamer, doesn't care for gaming and I promise her I would find something for her to use so she would let me buy it. So the 3 casual are Fantasia, Just Dance, and Zumba. I used to love JRPGs and third person adventure games. Still, do actually. I do like the Xbox but I think the JRPGs are calling me hence the itch to want to switch. Will I have time to play them? I'll be lucky if the fiancee lets me. But I really want to play the Final Fantasy 7 Remake so unless it comes ou to Xbox One I think I'm leaning towards switching. I might get a Roku (I tried to get a Roku TV but the fiancee wanted the dang Samsung TV from Costco which does have incredible image quality). I don't have a SlingTV subscription, and so far what I have read from Vue doesn't really grabs my attention. The one thing I did like of SlingTV when I did the free trial was being able to watch some shows that already aired. Does Vue have that too? Is there like a DVR option with the PS4 and the Vue app? |
If you like this person adventure, get inFAMOUS: Second Son and Bloodborne + The Old Hunters. They're both fantastic.
Like Norm said, the TCL Roku TVs are questionable, but the Insignia are great. I have to disagree on the Samsung, though; oversaturated panels aren't my thing. I personally recommend a Sony: better processor, better OS, better color palette.
All shows can be DVR'd for 28 days (with a limit of 500; a fairly high ceiling, honestly), and the Sports package is actually fairly comprehensive. I tried the Elite package (which included no more sports channels than the Sport package), and good god almighty, there are a lot of sports channels. It lists only a few on the package descriptions, but they include a good number of sports coverage for different regions under what they're considering to be one channel (even though it's a dozen or so).
