That's less than half it's predecessor's sales.  I really thought it would do better.  Then again I didn't think the vita would struggle to hit a fifth of the PS4'S sales. 

And I think there is not problem with that. 70m is a great number regardless and would make any system "successful". I think Ninty would be pretty happy if Wii U did 50% of what Wii did. PSV would also be sucessful at half of what PSP did, this would put it around 40m, and Sony would most likely make a new handheld.

We also know DS was the exception, Nintendo portables usually sell around 80~100m. So if 3DS hits 70m, it will be close to that.

EDIT: But to be honest with you, I thought that 3DS could hit 90m for some time, especially during its prime. A shame it didn't.
