Even if its not, just pokemon alone makes sure most nintendo handhelds sell well.

Pokemon go is so successful because it works on a device that people already own. I doubt people other than die hard Pokemon fans (i.e. those millions who bought XY) are going to buy an NX for it.

I can only speak for myself. I bought Pokemon Y, have been playing Pokemon Go with friends and have zero interest in NX unless they make a proper Nino Kuni style pomemon game for it.
