Nintendo is probably getting the Tegra chips for dirt, dirt cheap because Nvidia hasn't been able to find any vendors for the chips in traditional tablets/phones, so Nintendo was probably like their last resort.

The chip itself probably doesn't cost much at all, the Nvidia Shield console is $199.99 with the Tegra X1, and that was *two years ago* by the time March 2017 rolls around.

Throw in a docking station, a bigger storage solution than 16gb flash memory, a "wii u pro" like controller.

And Id assume Nintendo should be able to sell such a console around 250$, atleast I hope thats the price they end up at.

PS4 & XB1 are going to be 299$ by the time the NX is out.

If its 1/3 the power, it cant cost the same or more than the PS4/XB1s.

Not if they want it to sell.

You can't put your PS4 in your back pack and play it on the train or a park bench, so that would be a huge differenitator.
