To paraphrase him, "I played through it twice and I can't confirm that it doesn't have 90 minute cut scenes, but that sounds like an exaggeration. They're long, but I don't remember them being that long."

How can you play through twice and not know?

That is weird. How can you play through a game twice and not remember the cutscene length?

Who ever ever ever in the history of gaming has timed cutscenes? (except Knights of the Round in FF VII, since it happened every time you used the fucking spell you had to know how much time you had to go make a sandwich).

What matters is whether the review says they were enjoyable or not, and whether we think we'd agree.

@ BigFatJ's "lower ability level" and "crutch" comments, if he's supporting them: LOL.  Point is the games come out with good stories, better than the majority of video games possessing stories.  To say that cutscenes harm the presentation is purely personal, but it's pretty easy to get a consensus among gamers admitting that Kojima's MGS story is a pretty good one.  His haters, and the haters of the cutscene format, just like to trot out objective-seeming "reasons" for their online attempt to convince others that the game will suck.  How tiresome.
