GTA IV is a good game, gets a lot of unnecessary hate, but its not a 98. It would be a high 70's or low 80's to me, it did many things amazingly well and is still a very unique and incredible world to explore but it also did many things wrong that previous GTA games did right.
Soulcalibur is a good fighting series but the series is so much better now than it was in 1998 that the first game can't be a 98 for me. Even the best game in the series isn't a 98 for me.
I haven't played the other two.
