for twitch based games it's important... certainly 12ms is way way too much for precision mouse aiming.

 

bur hey, again, for console gaming i would agree with you it's overkill. but the same could be said for 4k right now

... What is it about limits of the human body that you don't seem to understand? Your eyes CAN'T see differential below 12ms.
