Ah fair enough. I might just be being too optimistic about OLED because I really don't want to go back to LCD for a future TV. But I do know someone who is very clued up with regards to AV equipment being both a processional reviewer and also now "in the industry" with regards to actually mastering Blu-ray titles originally for indie studios, but more lately picking up some work with major studios.

I basically let him tell me what to get :D He was pretty optimistic for the new wave of OLED sets though.

There's only two new things with the 2016 OLEDs.

 

1. They remain active 15 minutes after shut down to snow the screen. This will significantly reduce the chances of burn-in.

2. They're actually HDR now.
