Whoops.

Well, Amazon is a great thing. I'm sure you can find a great deal on OLED TV's. One thing I will say is that the difference between LED and OLED isn't that much.

OLED allows TV's to be thinner basically. Anyhow, I would still recommend OLED TV's. Check your local bestbuy(if you have one). They always have good deals.

OLED is massively better than LED and a completely different technology. The depth of colour etc is far greater. Allows for true black etc which you can never have with a back lit LCD TV.

I've had OLED phones for 6 years now, went back to an LCD one for a year before getting another OLED one last year and absolutely hated the screen. (HTC One m7 so wasnt a budget handset either)

OP I currently game on a Panasonic plasma TV which used pioneer's kuro technology, however you can no longer get that sort of TV as the tech was unable to scale up to 4k sets so has now pretty much been abandoned.

My next TV will definitely be an OLED. Personally prefer flat to curved screens. But you do have to shell out a premium due too them being a more niche market and the technology is still pretty early in its development. I think they'll become much better priced in the next 12 months or so.

Really depends if the quality is worth the premium. But to me definitely yes.

OLED phones are great, as is the OLED Vita.

But I would wait on the TV. Sony makes their own OLEDs, and could actually release them cheaper than LG could. But they don't, because the technology isn't ready yet (and might never be). LG is jumping the gun and sacrificing a lot to do OLED, not to mention virtue of being LG ruins things, too (bad processor, bad upscaling, bad noise algorithms).

If you call Sony and ask them why they don't make an OLED, they'll tell you they do. It's a 32" monitor with the most perfect color and input lag. It also costs $30000 and the half-life on its blue is 6 months. OLED isn't ready, and the fact that Sony and Samsung aren't doing it should really drive the issue home.
