Because this is completely standalone plug and play product without any connectivity whatever, and ever other option for NES Mini means higher price of product (and curent price is very afordible), and NES Mini with net connectivity, eshop and miiverse or wireless controller wouldn't be exactly retro.
This is just NES Mini with built in games, nothing more nothing less, and actually has great value for its price.
