Ok but that's still generlizing. Some people in government don't give a rats ass about torrents (probably most). This entire thing was Apple's call because Apple sells alot of digital goods and torrent sites are a haven for theft of said digital goods.
But if you want to dig more deeply, you can. For instance, how many of the files stolen and illegally downloaded from that site are US made? Most? So naturally, it's a US problem as much as it is anyone elses. Right?
