It was not the exact same gameplay for a number of reasons. First and foremost they have an entirely new class of vehicle that behaves dramatically differently. Power sliding is completely different as well, and there is a host of new items. Further, there are 16 entirely new tracks in addition to the 16 returning tracks which is a relatively new addition in case you were wondering. There is also tricks, different kart stats, different character stats, and a few other minor differences between the games. Please don't spout off ignorant gibberish.
