The most important thing for Nintendo is to get families onboard again. Whatever that entails, they need to do it. The word "casual" incites terror, vomit and severe distain on boards like these and with "core gamers" but those are the people they need to win back. Nintendo fans are going to be there for the ride no matter what. It's those casuals that they have to grab again if they want to do well with the NX.
The other gamers, they're (imo) a cynical, miserable bunch and Nintendo doesn't need them. They won last generation without them and they don't need them next generation either.
