The Wii crowd was very casual and not representative of the hardcore market. Last gen a lot of gamers who bought the 360 would of also had a ps3. It's just this gen they are ps4 only.

Well if people expected it to sell more than the WiiU in no time you get those kind of comments. Secondly Sony delayed the PS4 in Japan and that should improve the launch sales especially if you allign the sales from launch but doing on par with PS3 that was doing horrible it's first years and people still remember as the console that was crazy expensive and had not much software releases I think one of the best JRPG's released on PS3 during those years was white knight chronicles a game most forget because it was a mediocre game.  I enjoy your Irish joy in looking into things...

It's on track to match the ps3s peak year this year and next year looks very strong too for it.  It's going to end up not too far off ps3 lifetime,  which in the dying Japanese market would be a success.
