Uh oh. Casual gaming machines hardly work now. The casuals want to use their phones and play those kinds games on their phones. Hell the XBO has casual games that use your phone to play lmao! They should use their mobile stuff like Pokémon Go to aggressively grab the casuals. Nintendo needs to take a step back and focus more on the core gamers in the console space. Otherwise it might even do worse than the Wii U (no not really).
If anything Nintendo probably has a very appealing feature that can be enjoyed by the casual market, but if that is the main selling point of the console and the core gamers don't like it. Good luck. A lot of die hard Nintendo fans are going to be angry. I don't think this will be the case after seeing Breath of the Wild. It seems like they are pushing for a very hardcore experience with this game. Dare I say more so than other Zelda titles.
Hell, even if it's a form of VR or AR that is optional. If it's accessible, that would be a feature that could get some casuals interested in the system. It doesn't need to be much, but it needs to be flexible and not forced down the core gamers throats like many people felt the Wii and Wii U was. Which is a matter of opinion and debatable.
