However this does benefit Nintendo immensely because it has boosted the popularity of Pokemon which can have great effect on the next game release. |
That's the power of branding at its finest there though. Nintendo shows up in Pokemon Go on the servers are down screen and in the about screen as a copyright holder, nothing more. However, because Pokemon has always been on Nintendo platforms, people instantly associate Pokemon with Nintendo. Synonymous at this point really
