Nintendo have not made an operating profit overall this generation.

That $9m figure is Net Profit, how is that in anyway related to how their hardware business is performing? You're latching on to that Net Profit figure but really it's irrelevant to this thread, the thread doesn't say Nintendo lost money, it says their products have lost money. Which is correct.

What the OP says is completely correct, and I guess he's using Operating Profit because that shows how Nintendo's Products are actually performing, due to the nature of this site I'd guess that's what people want to know. People want to know if they've made a profit on 3ds,WiiU,Amiibo,Games. That's what Operating Profit shows.

The thread doesn't say Nintendo as a company has lost money, the thread says their products have lost money, which is the more interesting point to me at least.

Obviously I don't know what reasons the OP had in creating this thread, but it doesn't matter if he is biased or a nintendo hater, there's nothing wrong with the thread itself other then the crazed reactions of some.
