This kind of thing is just the most obscene nonsense.
The world isn't perfectly equal in every place and time. Everyone knows this. It's one of the most obvious facts that you can notice almost everywhere and in every subject, company, or past-time.
Why on earth do you think bullying a company into hiring people deliberately based on their race or sex is a good solution? It's a ridiculous solution. It completely undermines meritocracy. It descriminates against people of one group in favour of another. It leads to hiring people who aren't necessarily up to the job. It's terrible at nearly every stage.
If they want to help with this sort of problem, they should be spending their money helping with shitty schooling in black neighborhoods and investing to try and bring the single parenthood rates down with black americans. That's one of the main drivers of poverty. Waiting til people are adults and these inequalities have already arisen is too late. You've gotta go back to the source.
