perhaps because it just isn't that good of a game? I know its from Nintendo so this sentence bothers on heresy in this forum but could be a possibility no?
I mean come on I have seen a kart N64 vs. Wii version comparison. Yes the new game looked better but it was the same level and the same game. Thats a bit over the top.
