I saw Secret Life of Pets recently (funny but meh story; not Pixar or even Disney level) and with it the trailer for several other animated films. BFG looked great but the next Ice Age... meh.
I think the series has done well over time, but it won't break $1BB. I actually think it will do worse than the last two movies. The trailer looks meh.
