Recommend a Pokemon game for a noob like me.

Thanks pal, I obviously didn't think this thread through properly. It's been a long day at work ;)

I suggest you to play the Pokémon games in the order they came out, you can find Red, Blue and Yellow, the first +titles in the series on 3DS (note they are pretty much the same, Yellow is slightly better because it has colour and a few extra things), then you'd need a GBA to play gold/silver/crystal and then ruby/saphire/emerald , once you've done that you can play all of the other games on the 3DS them beeing Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, Black/White, Black 2/ White 2 (seequels, not to skip), X/Y and Sun/Moon
