And if someone is gonna come in here and tell me this is extreme Wahabi teachings only, read the OP again. This is coming from Al-Azhar, an institution that is well-known for its "moderate" views among Muslims, not only that, actually a lot of Muslims criticises Al-Azhar for being "too moderate".

Moderate Islam just doesn't exist period.

I presume you're not from the west? Most of the western population of Muslims (especially the younger generation) are moderate.

It should come as no surprise that countries where law is still dictated by faith are not exactly moderate.

I said "there is no moderate Islam".

I did NOT say "there is no moderate Muslims".

There is a big difference.

Of course there are moderate (I prefer to call them lazy) Muslims who choose to choose not to practice a lot of extreme Islamic teachings, but there are those who do, even in the west, and there lies the problem.
