No, I don't think they are restricted by having their games on their hardware quite the contrary. Unlike 3rd parties, they don't pay royalties nor do they get a chunk of profits taken away from them when it comes to digital sales.

They work under their own terms and have far more flexibility in many ways, which is something most 3rd parties are limited to having for obvious reasons. There are many other factors and reasons to take into account but many have already explained it in far more depth it'd be redundant of me to do the same.
