As for the people saying there is nothing wrong with this deal and type of advertising... why in the F do you guys think that WB are settling out of court with the FTC over this deal? Do you guys really think there is no foul play done here when WB wouldn't even waste their legal teams time trying to defend the action but settle instead? if it was so easy to defend that a forum post of "this is fine" would do it... surely their legal team could have overturned the FTC ruling then?

Edit - The settlement which was agreed to was not a money amount but more restrictions on WB advertising through avenues like Youtube and social media from here on, each breach of which will result in Civil Penalties https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/press-releases/2016/07/warner-bros-settles-ftc-charges-it-failed-adequately-disclose-it

Fairly good thread to judge who the subscribers of PewDiePie are on VGChartz though!

Yeah I'm shocked by the people who are OK with this. It's weird how sometimes consumers are the most anti-consumer folks out there.

And of all companies it's Warner Brothers the same company who sells consumable easy fatalities in MK as dlc and doesn't sell Season passes to the PC in MK because they can't be bothered, and Arkam Knight dear me. This is not the company I would have expected to see apologists for especially when it comes to attempting to hide the fact of paid advertising ... being paid advertising.

This behaviour was a joke in movies back in 1992 and now it's back around again on Youtube, and while it's still a joke... it's still not funny to have people trying to hide the fact that this goes on.

Heck guys, maybe Wayne just really liked Pepsi all this time?

Edit - If you want to watch a break down of a channel giving info about their earnings and why they earn the money the way they do there is no better video to do it than Linus Tech Tips Honest Answers, both in the explaining how they get it and why they wouldn't do something like this, it's just a great video to watch

Their viewers > everything in terms of income.
