Nintendo having all their games available everywhere a better business than restricting them to a console?

Doubt it... We have seen how long it takes for Nintendo to develop games for new console with their own OS and etc with the wiiU... Doing it for every platform unless its streaming will result in either their polish going down by a lot or each game taking a lot longer to come out.

On top of that, they won't get that lovely royalty money or the extra money they get for a sale from their online store.

Edit: Now granted their console sales suck this gen but its not like everything went right for the wiiU and it failed... Nintendo goofed on many parts including but not limited to marketing, launch price, storage, naming, specs for price, promise of third party without delivering etc etc etc. My point is, they have tons of room to improve their departments and hardware. If they make a console where they didn't goof up on most things and it still flops, then maybe.
