I believe we all start on the outskirts of the same 'galaxy' and we're tasked with getting to its centre.

When we get to the centre we'll get another map which is a map of the universe and here we'll discover the ultimate goal and that's to get to the centre of the universe, but to do that we'll have to travel through even more galaxies.

Because we've already upgraded our ships, the journey from the outskirts of a new galaxy to the centre won't take anywhere near as long. And of course, as we level up and buy even better ships the journey through the galaxies to their centres, and ultimately to the centre of the universe, will grow faster and faster.

But we won't have to travel alone from the centre of our first galaxy. Here we will be able to buy ships with room for 1 or 2 or 3 passengers. From here on out we'll be able to traverse the galaxies with our chosen friend/friends. You'll now be able to buy your next piece of equipment: A 2/3/4 way communication device.

How would you be able to synchronise with all three friends (if you decide to form a 4 player party) if you and another friend decide to go off on a journey while the other friend couldn't? Think Star Trek and those save locations. You'd get a message from your friend who was now able to play. After finding one of those save locations you simply wait until he beams in, materialising in the usual Star Trek Fashion. These save points can also be used for fast travel on the one planet.

Something on getting to the centre of the galaxy: In the most recent vid Sean shows us lines leading towards the centre of the galaxy ... he likened them to GPS. But why bother with that when the brightness of the centre can't be missed and steering towards it would be easy? Because what the algorithm does is show you a route that offers the most variety and the necessary materials to complete your journey. Those people who just want to go to the centre of the galaxy now have a focused objective while those who want to meander and take in the sights can just ignore the GPS.

I don't think any of that is out of the question.
