I get all that. You're a Ninty fan and that's great. Why applaud them, though? They did something they were pressured to do and didn't put much effort into it. It is one thing to be happy for your favourite company and another to praise them.

I'm happy for Sony and Uncharted 4's success and I applaud them even if the game is not my cup of tea. That's because they deserve it. I don't applaud them for the revenue of ps+ because it wasn't a grand idea, it was basically copying MS by forcing people to pay for online. Good for them, but no praise from me.

I'm actually a Nintendo fan and a Sony fan. We do exist. But Uncharted 4 was normal for Naughty Dog. It was the next logical progression in the series. Pokemon Go is Nintendo stepping out of their comfort zone and so far, they've done so with flying colors. I can appreciate what it is doing for Nintendo. I don't have to necessarily like something to acknowledge what it is doing for any company. For example, I hate Apple phones, but I applaud them for what they've done for the smartphone industry.

Pokemon Go wasn't pressured. It started off as an April fools joke...can't see how they'd be pressured to follow up on an April fools joke. And to be fair, this of all things is Niantic's handywork with Nintendo working alongside them. Nintendo hasn't made any real Smartphone games just yet, so I can't really say this is all Nintendo's work. Which is why I said in my original post, that I applaud Niantic and Nintendo for their efforts.

1. It wasn't normal. It was a masterpiece. Not many companies can create something like that. Even if a company makes a great game (Residentl Evil 4), no one guarantees their next game will be just as good (Resident Evil 5).

They didn't step out of their comfort zone they way they did with wii, i.e. an innovative idea and a huge gamble. They had a company make a game, after the incredibly bad sales of wiiu and the pressure from the investors to make mobile games. Whether it started as an April Fools joke doesn't matter.

2. They haven't done with flying colours. They did competitive shooter with flying colours, i.e. Splatoon. Great game, great execution, great sales. Pokemon Go is only selling thanks to strength of the brand.

3. Since they haven't even made a mobile game, why applaud them exactly? For letting a company use one of the biggest ips to make a game?

Anyway, I've said my piece. Feel free to keep praising them if that's how you feel.
