madden is an "online game" madden is only popular in the us, the region with the by far highest digital attachrate among console owners.

So give me a source, because I can't find any mention of them saying that. It's hard to believe because it's a ridiculous statement. No retail game gets a 50% Attach Rate. While digital is MUCH bigger now then it was just a couple of years ago it is no where near the levels you suggest on console.
