Trying to catch a bee using touch controls would be almost impossible. The only way Animal Crossing works on mobile is if it's totally watered/dumbed down and that's what I fear the most. 

This is a slippery slope and I don't think people are realizing just how slippery it is.

Errr, no it wouldn't Animal Crossing Wild World's touch controls were absolutely fine. There is no part of Animal Crossing that would need to be watered down for mobile. the whole game is very sedate and very easy to control with touch. Fishing, Digging, Planting, Arranging Furniture, talking to people, buying crap. Animal Crossing is the perfect game for mobile.
