The Wii has a half a gig of space in it, and VC games are tiny so you can fit a gazillion if you wanted to. WiiWare games should be a little bigger, and some of the channels are pretty big.
If you ever run out of space, you can copy stuff to your SD card, and copy it back when you want to use it. But the vast majority of Wii users never run out of space.
