Dude took a gun to a protest. The police did nothing wrong here. They were making split second decisions with very little information.
I never ceased to be amazed at how entitled so many people are when it comes to having police protection. Being a police officer in the US is one of the world's hardest jobs. People need to remember that they live in a free country. If you make being a police officer too hard or dangerous, people just won't do it as a job. There's no inherent reason anyone should.
Complaining about stuff like this betrays that exact sense of entitlement. If you dont expect mistakes like this to happen, you really haven't understood the nature of their job.
