Trust me, it matters much less than you think. And the problem with the bolded is it rests purely on the assumption that console gamers are ONLY that. The mod team consists of PC gamers, as well. And your allegiances only become an issue if it interferes with your job in a substantial way (documented, not someone's opinion of you).

The bottom line, a lot more goes into this job than what you see in the forums (especially of late, as many of the old "guidelines" have been replaced with new ones).

Well to me i think it matters more then your assuming it does.

For Instance Aeolus comment still stands even if a person owns more then 1 console/gaming device.

Lets say for instance im a PS4 fan but i also own a PC, i game on both but PS4 is my main platform.

Now im not baised or anything, but id notice certain flames and trends of users flaming or baiting towords PS4 more so then i would for the PC. Since its not my main platform of choice.

To most users this isnt a problem. And it also doesnt effect my abilty to mod the site as a "Whole". However, the will be things that get past me or that i might not see as being "As bad" as some PC fans would.

However on the flip side of the coin. a PC Fan that also owns a PS4 or whatever console would notice certain flames and trends of users baiting PC users more since its their platform of choice. It also wouldnt effect their abilty to mod the site as a whole. But it would also even things out in case some mods miss something.

Its also good for a site as a whole to try repesend and give a voice to each group of its members in an even and fair way, to avoid biase and also to make sure that none of the mods also might feel pressured from feeling under repesended by their opinion being drowned out by a lauder group of mods.

I think the main mistake you have here Zero is that there are mods who read every post in every thread on the site each day, While it would be great if that could happen realistically they can't, there is just far too much content on here every day. So that is where we come in, we as users need to use the report function to bring the mods attention to where rule infractions are going on. As I found out myself for this to work it's good to take a read over the rules and actually direct a mod to what rule you think is being broken in the post you are reporting, really helps save the mods time too over a report of "this asshole right here, break his legs" :)

That aside if x mod was a Xbox fan through and through though, then they would likely miss a Sony or Nintendo fan posting trollng comments towards the Xbox because the Xbox fan mod just would not be reading Sony or Nintendo related posts simply because of their interest on here, remember mods are just users the same as the rest of us, they don't look at the forum index and start at the top and get reading each post to find trolling etc. but yeah, report button summons mods at a low mana cost!
