Actually I think you can get pretty decent stats even below 500 BST, look at Sableye who was played for ages in it's regular form with 380 BST, of course Salandit and it's evo will have to deal with more weakneses, but the proper item can deal with that...

Possible 450 BST spread for Salandit's evo which would be perfect:

HP 70

Atk 20

Def 70

Sp. Atk 100

Sp. Def 70

Speed 120

sure thing is that developers are always adjusting stuff in an attempt to balance the game as much as possible, and this looks like a nice move towards it, I mean really, I love Pokemon metagame but going online to battle teams with 4/6 being the same damn OP pokemon is so boring
