So let me get this straight... you're accusing him of being bribed by UEFA to penalise a player for doing something they're not supposed to do?

I'm not saying I'm certain it's a bribe, it could just as well be that he succumbed to pressure in the moment, with so much responsibility on your shoulders standing there on the field of a host nation that is powerful in the football world. It's not like the first time it happened in big games.
