We need to know it is/has a final evolution and it's base stats first. Corrosion is a cool ability, but that don't mean much if it's sitting somewhere with a sub-500 BST and can't do anything other than what it's ability entails. Earthquake is everywhere in compettive too, thanks in no small part to the Pokemon you mentioned.

Actually I think you can get pretty decent stats even below 500 BST, look at Sableye who was played for ages in it's regular form with 380 BST, of course Salandit and it's evo will have to deal with more weakneses, but the proper item can deal with that...

Possible 450 BST spread for Salandit's evo which would be perfect:

Atk 20

Def 70

Sp. Atk 100

Sp. Def 70

Speed 120
