Priority = something that is more important than other things and that needs to be done or dealt with first. Whether Pikmin 4 was ever a Wii U game and when exactly they decided to move it to NX is just speculation, but it's safe to say 2014 was the cut-off point as that was last year for significant Wii U game announcements, so the Pikmin 4 announced in 2015 was likely either a pure NX game or already moved/being moved from Wii U. Also the bolded, Miyamoto just said it is or atleast will be a priority now and that it never was before. The rest of your post just explains the obvious as to why Pikmin wasn't a priority which no one said otherwise about. The reason is to build consumer confidence. |
I know what is prioirete, and games like Zelda, 3D Mario some bigger IPs are definatly prioirete compared to Pikmin.
Miyamoto didn't that Pikmin wasn't priorite, he just said that isn't currently but it will be soon, that doesnt mean game wasn't priorite year or two ago.
There was no real reason at all to make such a confidence at that point especially if that wasn't true, nobody says that game is almost finished if they didnt on that game at all, he could just say we have plans or in worst case we working on Pikmin 4, not game is almost finished. I gave you explantaion that has most sense.
