Pokémon GO is certainly gona be downloaded far more than Red/Blue were sold at the time, it's free to play in the end, but Sun/Moon imho might have a chance to reach Red/Blue numbers if well advertised in China, since it's the first time they translate a Pokémon game in chinese.
I won't download GO untill they catch up with all of the existing Pokémon, so given that there are only 50 Pokémon in the game now I expect them to include all of them much later than the release of Sun/Moon, also I need to change my phone before I download this drug, which won't happen until holiday 2017 at the earliest
