It certainly fuels interest, no doubt about that, and I have no problem with someone saying they'll probably buy a console based on history.  However, for me, I'm just not going to make that decision until those games are announced.  That's just how I feel.  I've never bought a console at launch or even in the first year.  I wait until the library builds (although I did jump the gun on the PS3 because I thought TLG was on the way (and I got a $100 off)).  I still don't own a current gen console because I don't think any of them have reached that point in terms of exclusives yet.  That's just my own personal outlook on consoles.  Granted, I do have a gaming PC for third-party games, which make up most of my favorite franchises.

Fair enough. I think the wait-and-see approach is wise. If I had bought a PS3 or Xbox One at launch, I'd be pretty grumpy.

For me, Nintendo has never disappointed, so I'm confident the NX (or any future systems) will deliver the games I like to play. But I totally understand and respect your skepticism.

So does this mean you'll be getting a PS4 for TLG?

This far removed from the previous games, it doesn't have nearly the impact for me that it once had.  I'm a lot more of the "wait and see how it turns out" opinion now.  At this point in time, Horizon: Zero Dawn is a bigger draw and there are a few more PS4 titles that have my interest.  I loved Onimusha, for example, so I really want Ni-Oh to be good.

I will add that I really want to play Fire Emblem games so I am interested in seeing if the NX does get handheld titles.  That would be a pretty good selling point for me.
